One of my favorite designer papers in the Occasions catalog is from the From My Heart collection. And although this was part of our Valentine line, it is versatile enough to use year round. I wanted to use this favorite piece to create some non-Valentine projects, so today's post features an adorable thank you card, which coordinates with the 3-D birthday project featured in this month's tutorial.
Sometimes we find ourselves needing a quick card, and this one certainly fits the bill. It's all about the paper. This designer paper is amazing! It's gorgeous, shiny, and red — my favorite color! Beautiful paper does all the work for you,.
To create this project:
- cut a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock, and score at 4 1/4"
- cut piece of Whisper White cardstck 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
- cut a piece of designer paper 2 1/4" x 4 1/4"
Adhere designer paper along bottom edge of Whisper White layer. Stamp sentiment in Memento Black ink above designer paper. Stamp bugs, and color with blends. Add gems as desired. Tie a bow in Real Red ribbon around white layer, along top edge of designer paper, and adhere to card front. Stamp sentiment inside if desired.
