Season of Thanks with Come To Gather and a Blog Hop

The Come To Gather product suite has a stamp/die bundle, gorgeous designer paper, beautiful ribbon, and fun veneer elements!

Hello and welcome to our mini blog hop!

I know you will enjoy the amazing projects being shared with you today!

I love the Come To Gather product suite.  It includes this lovely stamp set, and coordinating dies, as well as gorgeous papers, ribbons, and fun veneer elements.

For my card today, I paired Mint Macaron ink with the amazing Delicata Celestial Copper ink.  This ink is beautiful.  It is --the-- best metallic ink I have ever used!  It is so shimmery and just lovely!

The Delicata ink comes in Copper, Gold, and Silver.

To create this card:

  • cut a thick very vanilla card base 4 1/4" x 11", score at 5 12"
  • cut a designer paper layer 3 3/4" x 5"
  • cut a very vanilla layer 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
  • cut a very vanilla strip 1" x 2 1/2"

Randomly stamp the large maple leaf in Mint Macaron ink on the vanilla layer, and add copper dots.  Double stamp the maple leaf on a vanilla scrap in Mint Macaron ink, than copper ink.  Die cut and crumple.  Layer some Copper Trim on the back before adhering to the card front.  Double stamp the small pumpkins in Bermuda Bay ink, than copper ink, before die cutting.  Arrange the crumpled leaf, small pumpkins and sentiment on the card front.  Add Holiday Rhinestone Jewels for the finishing touch.

Layering ribbon or trim behind an element is a great way to add interest to your project.

Stampin' Tip:  Add ribbon, twine, or other trim behind an element to add dimension and interest to your project.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing the Gather Together stamp set and Gathered Leaves dies from the Come To Gather suite of products.

Harvest Hellos Wormy Apple Treat Holder

Harvest Hellos and Check You Out sucker holder!

Welcome back!

If you have been with me for the past week or so, you have seen the Harvest Hellos bundle.  This bundle is so incredibly easy and fun to work with!  Once I started creating, I could not stop!

Today, I have chosen to pair it with another adorable set, Check You Out.  And it is perfect together!

I have chosen to make this fun teacher gift, but by swapping out the sentiment, and there are so many choices between the 2 stamp sets, it could be used for any occasion!

The worm and glasses stamps from Check You Out pair perfectly with the Harvest Hellos stamp set!

If you look closely, you can see the absolutely adorable glasses stamped in the background!  It is one of my favorite stamps!  And that little worm...

....how can you not love him?!

This little package can be made to hold anything.  I added a caramel applepop.  I love these, and look forward to getting them each fall!  These little bits of sweetness will find their way to school for my kids' teachers this week.  But this open top box is perfect for gift cards or any little treat!  As an added bonus, they come together in a snap!

To create this project:

  • Cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock 3 3/4" x 5 1/2", score as shown
  • Cut a piece of Basic Black cardstock 2 1/2" x 2 1/4" for the front layer

Cut your Basic Black cardstock 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" and score as shown.

Snip the long edges in just to the score line, and create a little notch.  Fold at all score lines, and apply adhesive to the sides.  In Memento Black ink, repeatedly stamp the glasses covering the small black layer, and adhere to box front.  Stamp the worm in Granny Apple Green ink,  than fussy cut.  Stamp again in Memento Black ink, color the bow tie with a Basic Black Blends marker, fussy cut and adhere the black tie to the green worm.  Stamp the apple stem and leaves in Call Me Clover ink on Call Me Clover cardstock.  Punch.  Stamp the apple in Real Red ink on Real Red cardstock.  Punch.  Add sentiment in Memento Black ink.  Assemble the apple with the worm peaking out.  Attach to the front of the treat holder.  Add googly eyes to the worm.

I hope you have loved the last project I will share for a while using the Harvest Hellos bundle!  But don't be sad, I have a great class offer for you!

A Sweet Little Hello for the 2019 Holiday Catalog with Harvest Hellos

The Harvest Hellos bundle from the 2019 Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog!

It is definitely a sweet day!  Today we say hello to the new 2019 Holiday Catalog.

The 2019 Holiday Catalog!

And I have made a sweet card for the occasion, with one of my favorite bundles, Harvest Hellos.

I love the Harvest Hellos bundle!

I love this bundle! It includes the Harvest Hellos stamp set and coordinating Apple Builder punch

I had several project ideas for this bundle and this is one of the first projects I made when I got my Holiday products.  I could hardly wait to share it with you today.  It is my favorite!!

I pulled in another exciting item from the Holiday Catalog - Shimmery Crystal Effects! This is a staple product that you need to add to your next order!  It can be used to add accents to your projects, but is also a fabulous adhesive!

Stampin' Tips:

  • Add Shimmery Crystal Effects to your projects for detail and dimension.
  • Create custom sentiments by stamping multiple sentiments and cutting the words apart to add to your project!

Creating custom sentiments is easy!

Check out these projects that I shared the other day, and I still have one more coming soon!

What do you think?

Don't you love this?  Once you start playing, you won't be able to stop!

Add Shimmery Crystal Effects to your project for detail and dimension.

To create this card:

  • cut a Real Red card base 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"
  • cut a Real Red front layer 4" x 5 1/4", embossed with the Subtle embossing folder
  • cut 2 Whisper White layers at 3 1/8" x 4 1/8" and 3" x 4"

Stamp the smaller Whisper White layer with the Buffalo Check background stamp in Memento Black ink and layer onto the larger white layer, than add to the Real Red front layer.  Punch a Real Red and Soft Suade apple.  Fussy cut the Soft Suade apple to look like caramel, than cover it with Shimmery Crystal Effects.  When dry, adhere to apple.  Stamp sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings, cut words apart, and add to the card front.  Enjoy!

Color Fusers Blog Hop September 2019

Harvest Hellos get better soon card for the September 2019 Color Fusers blog hop!

Welcome back!  We are here today with another great Color Fusers blog hop.  Thank you for joining us!

Color Fusers 2019: Rococo Rose, Merry Merlot, Night of Navy and Mossy Meadow

The colors this month were a little tough for me, but I think this project turned out adorable!  I decided to give you a sneak peek of what's to come on Wednesday - the 2019 Holiday Catalog

It is nothing short of amazing!

Coming September 4th! Harvest Hellos stamp set and Apple Builder Punch

This little diddy was made using the Harvest Hellos bundle, which includes the Harvest Hellos stamp set and Apple Builder punch.  I love that it includes an apple and pumpkin, with adorable sentiments for both!  I choose the apple, and will give this to a team member who just had surgery.

What do you think, will this cheer her up?

I made a watercolor apple using both Rococo Rose and Merry Merlot inks on our new Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper, and WOW!  I love this paper!  It was the first time I had used it, and I was really happy with how well the colors blended.  And the paper did not warp, which was awesome!

After watercoloring on the new Fluid 100 watercolor paper, I stamped and punched the apple, leaves and stem.

To create this card:

  • Cut a Rococo Rose card base 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2"
  • Cut a Rococo Rose layer 3 3/4" x 5" for the front
  • Cut a strip of designer paper 1 1/4" x 3 1/2"
  • Cut a Whisper White layer 2 1/2" x 2 3/4"

Watercolor an area large enough for the apple with Rococo Rose and Merry Merlot inks, and a smaller area with Mossy Meadow ink using the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper.   After the watercolor dries, stamp the apple, stem and leaves, and punch with the Apple Builder punch.  Create a fun background by repeatedly stamping the apple on the front layer in Rococo Rose ink.  Layer the watercolor apple with some designer paper and a strip of Rococo Rose ribbon.

Stampin' Tip:

This beautiful 1/2" scalloped linen ribbon comes in all 5 of the 2019-2021 In Colors.  I wanted the Rococo Rose portion of this ribbon behind my apple, so I trimmed the scallop away from the linen.  It makes this ribbon even more versatile!

Trim the scallops off for a thin scallop to add to your projects!

Because this stamp set is so cute, I wanted to show you this pumpkin card as well, which I had already shared.

Harvest Hellos bundle has a cute pumpkin, too!

Isn't this adorable? I think this bundle is so fun!  If you would like the Harvest Hellos bundle, Come To Gather designer paper, or any other Stampin' Up! products, click on any of the images below to go to my store.  And remember, ordering from the Holiday catalog will be available September 4th!

Color Fusers Blog Hop May 2019

Jar of Love stamp set and Everyday Jars dies in Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz, and Grapefruit Grove.

Welcome back!  We are hopping with the Color Fusers today.  Join us the first Monday of each month as we create using the same color palate.

Color Fusers May 2019: Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz and Grapefruit Grove

The color challenge this month was a tough one for me!  Flowers seemed easy.  Now, I know there are not many blue flowers, but all flowers can be blue in my world.  How would you put these colors together?

I chose one of my favorite retiring products, the Jar of Love stamp set with the coordinating Everyday Jars dies.  These will go away when the current Annual catalog retires on June 3rd, or while supplies last.   Yup - I said it! They are going away people!  Yikes!

I love all the little bits included in this set.  It's so much more than flowers, like I used today.

How would you fill your jar (or not)?

Leave me a comment telling me what you would make!

To recreate my card:

  • Cut a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Whisper White card base and score at 4 1/4"
  • Cut a 4" x 5 1/4" Whisper White layer
  • Cut a 4 1/8" x 2 3/4" piece of Grapefruit Grove designer paper
  • Cut a large stitched rectangle from Whisper White cardstock

I started by stamping multiple flowers in Night of Navy ink, stamping off once to decrease the intensity of the flowers.   The water in the jar was made with a Night of Navy watercolor wash on vellum cardstock. The Faceted Dots make perfect flower centers, and to finish it off, I had to add a little shimmer by coloring the flowers with Wink of Stella.

Add some Wink of Stella for a little shimmer.

Color Fusers Blog Hop April 2019

Ombre embossing paste background card

Hello again!  We are hopping with the Color Fusers today.  Join us the first Monday of each month as we create using the same color palate.  This month feels like spring!

Color Fusers April 2019: Melon Mambo, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Very Vanilla

I thought these colors would work great to create an ombre background, so I am sharing a fun technique using Embossing Paste.  It's so easy to use, and can add huge wow factor!

Beautiful shimmery ombre embossing paste background

To create this card:

  • Cut a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2"
  • Cut a piece of Mango Melody cardstock 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
  • Cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock 3 1/2" x 4 3/4"

First, I created the ombre background on Very Vanilla cardstock.  While it dried, I stamped the sentiment, which is from the Waterfront stamp set, in Melon Mambo ink on a 2" vanilla circle and added some layers for interest.  A little gold thread (-LOVE- this stuff) and Pineapple Punch ribbon behind it worked perfectly to help it all pop.  I added a Mango Melody layer behind the ombre background before adhering it to the card base, than attached the sentiment with some dimensionals.  Finally, I finished it off with a few gold sequins.

Let's talk embossing paste!

Have you worked with it before?  It is such a fun product and really is easy to use!  It comes in plain White, Shimmery White, and gorgeous Silver.  I used Shimmery White for this project.  It is beautiful

For the embossing paste design, I used a stencil.  The Pattern Party Decorative Masks set contains 4 cool stencil patterns.  Here are some of the other designs I created at the same time.  I will save these to make more cards.

And here is how I created the ombre background.
