May 2020 Color Fusers Challenge

This year's retiring In Colors have been, collectively, my favorite collection ever created by Stampin' Up!.  I love how bold and bright they are.  And in 4 short weeks, they will be gone.

Have you grabbed your favorites?

Don't wait!

In Color items are already selling out, as Stampin' Up! has announced the 2020 retiring products, which include these In Colors...the ink pads and any other products in these colors.

In Colors 2018-2020

Retiring In Colors: Blueberry Bushel, Call Me Clover, Grapefruit Grove, Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch

Along with these In Colors, today's project also features the retiring Love You To Pieces stamp set and the coordinating Puzzle Pieces dies.  This bundle was on my first order when it debuted, so it's only fitting it is one of my farewell projects.

The mini hearts are the perfect accent!

This great background was made with one of my go-to embossing folders, the Subtle 3D embossing folder.

The perfect go-to embossing folder!

It was even fun to add the heart detail to the inside.

Don't forget the details on the inside, too!

To create this card:

  • Cut a 4 1/4" x 11" Night of Navy card base, scored at 5 1/2"
  • Cut a 3 3/4" x 5" Call Me Clover cardstock layer
  • Cut a 3 5/8" x 4 7/8" Whisper White cardstock layer, emboss with the Subtle 3D embossing folder
  • Die cut a large Night of Navy scalloped oval
  • Die cut a large Whisper White stitched oval for the sentiment
  • Die cut Call Me Clover and Pineapple Punch puzzle pieces

Layer the embossed Whisper White layer onto the Call Me Clover layer, and adhere to card front with dimensionals.  Stamp sentiment on stitched oval in Night of Navy ink.  Stamp hearts over sentiment in Pineapple Punch ink.  Adhere sentiment oval onto scalloped oval, and adhere to card front with dimensionals.  Stamp hearts onto puzzle pieces in matching ink.  Add puzzle pieces to card front as desired.  Cut a piece of Night of Navy twine, separate some of the layers, and tie a bow around one of the puzzle pieces.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed today's project!  There are more projects to see, so continue to hop along with us!

Season of Thanks with Come To Gather and a Blog Hop

The Come To Gather product suite has a stamp/die bundle, gorgeous designer paper, beautiful ribbon, and fun veneer elements!

Hello and welcome to our mini blog hop!

I know you will enjoy the amazing projects being shared with you today!

I love the Come To Gather product suite.  It includes this lovely stamp set, and coordinating dies, as well as gorgeous papers, ribbons, and fun veneer elements.

For my card today, I paired Mint Macaron ink with the amazing Delicata Celestial Copper ink.  This ink is beautiful.  It is --the-- best metallic ink I have ever used!  It is so shimmery and just lovely!

The Delicata ink comes in Copper, Gold, and Silver.

To create this card:

  • cut a thick very vanilla card base 4 1/4" x 11", score at 5 12"
  • cut a designer paper layer 3 3/4" x 5"
  • cut a very vanilla layer 3 5/8" x 4 7/8"
  • cut a very vanilla strip 1" x 2 1/2"

Randomly stamp the large maple leaf in Mint Macaron ink on the vanilla layer, and add copper dots.  Double stamp the maple leaf on a vanilla scrap in Mint Macaron ink, than copper ink.  Die cut and crumple.  Layer some Copper Trim on the back before adhering to the card front.  Double stamp the small pumpkins in Pretty Peacock ink, than copper ink, before die cutting.  Arrange the crumpled leaf, small pumpkins and sentiment on the card front.  Add Holiday Rhinestone Jewels for the finishing touch.

Layering ribbon or trim behind an element is a great way to add interest to your project.

Stampin' Tip:  Add ribbon, twine, or other trim behind an element to add dimension and interest to your project.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing the Gather Together stamp set and Gathered Leaves dies from the Come To Gather suite of products.

New Catalog Blog Hop with Bloom & Grow

Simple stamping with the Bloom & Grow stamp set!

I am happy to be here today with a project using brand new items from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog!  What's even more exciting is I am hopping with some of my Luv 2 Stamp team members!  We are each featuring a bundle from the new annual catalog.  You may have just visited Patty Bennett at Patty Stamps, where she featured the Floral Essence bundle.  Hop along with all of us!

This bundle was the first one I chose to create with.  The more I used it, the more I loved it.  The sentiments are perfection!  And the best part - it's so simple!  I love the clean look, and how the colors pop. I call this Simple Stamping!

Mix in little pops of color to add interest to your project!

The Bloom & Grow stamp set is part of a bundle, pairing perfectly with the Budding Blooms dies.  I did not use the dies on this project, but they work so well together, I wanted to share them with you.

To create this card:

  • cut a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored at 4 1/4" for the base
  • cut a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock 3 3/4" x 5" for the layer
  • cut a piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock 1" x 3 3/4" for the sentiment

I stamped the florets in Highland Heather ink, than added pops of color with Gorgeous Grape and Pineapple Punch, by carefully inking one floret, and randomly stamping throughout the cluster.  To do this, use washi tape or masking tape as a mask on your stamp, or just carefully ink the stamp on the edge of a stamp pad.

I hope you enjoyed today's project!  Stop back Monday for a stepped up project featuring this bundle!

Now hop over to Cindee Wilkinson at Just Sponge It for a beautiful project using the To A Wild Rose bundle.  Or head back to Patty Bennett at Patty Stamps to see the Floral Essence bundle.  You can also visit Kurstan del Rosario at Stamp with Kurstan to see the Come Sail Away bundle.

Count Your Blessings with Colored Veneer Embellishments

Count My Blessings stamp set and colored Touches of Nature Elements veneer embellishments

I love this sentiment.  It's from the Count My Blessings stamp set in the new Holiday Catalog. I will use this a ton this holiday season!

This card also uses the Ruffled Dynamic Embossing Folder, from the Annual Catalog, to create the background, and the Painted Harvest stamp set for the leaves, which are punched out with the new Leaf punch.  I dressed it up a little with gold glimmer paper, and Year of Cheer metallic washi tape!

I also added a Touches of Nature Element.  I love veneer embellishments, but I struggle with how plain they sometimes look on a project.

In come my ink pads!

Did you know you can color them to coordinate with any project?

Yup!  You sure can!  And it is super easy!

Coloring Wood Veneer Embellishments

This adds a perfect touch to any project!

I love getting into fall color combinations!  Here is the one I used on today's project:

Sneak Peak: 2017 Holiday Catalog Painted Harvest Stamp set and Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper with Embossing Paste

Hi Friends--

Loving the Holiday catalog!  I have started crafting with new catalog products, and thought I would share a little peak of what you have to look forward to!  This card is loaded with new products!  Can you pick them out?

Painted Harvest stamp set, Leaf Punch, Painted Autumn designer series paper, Everyday Label Punch, Pick a Pumpkin stamp set, all from the 2017 Holiday Catalog!

This product suite, Painted Autumn, is one of my favorites in the entire catalog!  When fall comes, working with fall colors become my favorites!  The Painted Autumn designer series paper is gorgeous!  Hand painted fall patterns with beautiful watercolor patterns on the B sides.  It will be hard to pick which side to use!  Want to see it for yourself?  You may still pre-order a paper share from me, and it includes 1/4 of a pack to create with!

For this card, I layered on the details, and for extra interest, added some of the awesome new Embossing Paste from the annual catalog.  This is so fun, and really easy to use!  It dries fast, and is flexible.  It can be colored, too!

Painted Autumn Suite with Embossing Paste, applied with Pattern Party Masks

To recreate this card, cut a card base of Cajun Craze cardstock 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at  4 1/4".  Cut a piece of Early Espresso cardstock 3 7/8" x 5 1/8".  Choose your favorite pattern of Painted Autumn dsp, and cut to 3 3/4" x 5".  Using the Embossing Paste, and Pattern Party Decorative Masks, add a layer of embossing paste to the dsp.  Allow to dry, than adhere to the Early Espresso layer.  Adhere this layer to your card front using dimensionals.  Using the Painted Harvest stamp set, stamp 2 sets of leaves with Lemon Lime Twist ink on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. Punch out with the Leaf punch.  Stamp sentiment in Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla cardstock.  With the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set, stamp a pumpkin of your choice in Pumpkin Pie ink over the sentiment.  Punch out with the Everyday Label punch.  Punch a second label from Early Espresso cardstock.  Cut the espresso label in half length-wise, and adhere behind sentiment label to create a layered look.  Layer leaves and trim of choice to back of sentiment, and adhere to your card front with dimensionals.  I chose the 1/4" Copper Trim from the annual catalog on my card, but linen thread, burlap ribbon or copper thread would work well, too.  To finish off your card, use Early Espresso ink again, and stamp a sentiment on the inside of your card.

I thought the colors in this card were beautiful together, and were taken from the dsp:

Creating with the Delightful Daisy Suite of Products from Stampin' Up!

Welcome back!  My last post featured a card using the Delightful Daisy designer series paper.  Today I wanted to share the rest of the Delightful Daisy suite with you, with this card.

Delightful Daisy suite includes the Daisy Delight stamp set and punch bundle, Delightful Daisy designer series paper, and coordinating ribbon

Creating with a suite of products makes crafting easier.  All the products coordinate perfectly, which makes putting a project together seamless.  Suites often contain stamps with a matching punch or die set, designer series paper, trims, and sometimes, embellishments.  This particular suite, Delightful Daisy, contains the Daisy Delight stamp set and coordinating Daisy punch, Delightful Daisy designer series paper with matching cardstock, and ribbon.  The best part about the coordinating stamp set and punch, is a discount when purchased together as a bundle, not only making crafting easy, but saving money as well!

Quick Tip:  When planning projects, consider purchasing a coordinating suite of products.  This helps save money while making crafting fast and easy!

The color palate for this suite, which was also used on this card, includes:

To recreate this card, cut a card base of Wisteria Wonder cardstock to 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and score at 4 1/4".  Than choose the designer series paper pattern (dsp) of your choice, and cut to 2 7/8" x 4 1/4".  I chose to layer Calypso Coral cardstock under my dsp, which was cut to 3" x 4 1/4".  Adhere the dsp onto the Calypso Coral cardstock layer.  Tie a piece of Delightful Daisy double-stitched ribbon around the dsp layer, and adhere to cardbase.  Stamp the sentiment from the Daisy Delight stamp set above the dsp layer in Wisteria Wonder ink.  Than stamp 3 large daisies in the same ink, and punch with the Daisy punch.  Stamp centers on each flower with Daffodil Delight ink.  Adhere daisies to card front.  I chose to use dimensionals on 2 of the daisies to add depth to my card.  Trim parts of any daisy extending past your card edge.  Color the daisy centers with Wink of Stella to finish the card off with a little shimmer.

When you shop for card making supplies, do you purchase suites?  Stampin' Up! has 15 product suites in the current Annual catalog.  Need a catalog?  Contact me using the Contact Me link in my sidebar.  I will be  happy to send a catalog to you.  In the meantime, click on any of the products below to go to my store and build your suite of products.
