Color Fusers Blog Hop March 2020

March 2020 Color Fusers using Parisian Blossoms stamp set, Cherry Blossom dies, and the Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder

It's color time!  Welcome to the March 2020 Color Fusers Blog Hop.

CF March

I love when I am given a color challenge using colors I would never put together on my own - like Mint Macaron and Pear Pizzazz.  But I love how this project turned out using them together!

The floral blossoms in the Forever Blossoms stamp set worked perfectly to use all the colors well, and I love how the pop of color from the Garden Lane designer paper in Mint Macaron pulls it all together.

The Parisian Flourish embossing folder creates a gorgeous background!

This amazing background was created using the Parisian Flourish embossing folder.  I can't stop using it, it's just gorgeous!  You can see last month's project with this embossing folder here, and another with several products from the Parisian Blossoms product suite, which includes this embossing folder and stamp/die set on today's project, here.

The coloring is quick and easy with a watercolor wash on the flowers and stems, which adds just enough color.  And, although the floral spray looks great straight up,  I love the additional dimension added using the individual blossom and bud stamps and dies included in this set.

Just enough color and dimension thanks to a great stamp/die bundle and a little watercolor wash!

To create this card:

  • cut a Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock card base 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", and score at 4 1/4"
  • cut a Very Vanilla layer 3 5/8" x 4 7/8" and emboss with Parisian Flourish embossing folder
  • cut a piece of designer paper 3 3/4" x 5" for layering
  • cut a strip of Very Vanilla 3" x 1/2" for the sentiment

Adhere embossed layer to designer paper at an angle, and adhere to card front with dimensional.  Stamp the floral spray, 2 blossoms, and 1 bud in Soft Suede ink.  Color the flowers with Mint Macaron and the stems and leaves with a Pear Pizzaz watercolor wash using an Aqua Painter.  Die cut and adhere to card front.  Stamp sentiment in Soft Suede ink on vanilla Cardstock, and adhere to card front over a ribbon cluster.  Embellish as desired with Mint Macaron rhinestones from the Holiday Rhinestone collection.

Welcome!  I am glad you are joining us today for the 3D Tutorial Bundle blog hop.

3D Tutorial Design Team

I know you will enjoy all the projects we have to share featuring Valentine's projects, and the exciting tutorial you can receive to make even more projects using all the products we are featuring today from the upcoming 2020 Occasions catalog.

The design team consists of 6 demonstrators, and we all love making 3D items!  The great news is -- this tutorial can be yours FREE!   But first, check out the projects we are featuring today!

Parisian Blossoms suite

This is just one of the gorgeous product suites in the upcoming Occasions catalog, and I knew I would love working with it!  in fact, the Occasions catalog is packed with amazingness!  I  know you will love it!  And even better, these products will be available later this week!

The detail in this suite is amazing!  And beautiful projects come together so easily.

The Heart Punch Pack coordinates perfectly with the Parisian Blossoms suite!

Stampin' Up! does product coordination like no other!  Not only do we have awesome product suites, but the products from different suites can be paired for even more options!  I love how the From My Heart suite Heart Punch Pack coordinates so well on this project, and how it allows the foil accents on this designer paper to shine!

The script designer paper is my favorite in the Parisian Blossom designer paper collection.

Isn't it gorgeous?

The champagne foil accents on the Parisian Blossoms designer paper are gorgeous!

To make this card:

  • cut a Merry Merlot card base 4 1/4" x 11" and score at 5 1/2"
  • Cut a Petal Pink layer 3 3/4" x 5" and emboss with the Parisian Flourish embossing folder
  • cut a piece of designer paper 3 5/8" x 2 1/2"
  • cut a strip of Whisper White cardstock 1"x 3 1/2"

Layer the designer paper and Petal Pink embossed layer onto the card base.  Die cut an Eiffel Tower and adhere to card front.  Add a punched heart layered onto a scalloped heart punch, and place over tower.  Stamp sentiment in Merry Merlot ink with Petal Pink detail below, and adhere to card front with dimensionals, covering the top edge of designer paper.  Add a Petal Pink ribbon bow.
